Kunsthalle Basel and its director Elena Filipovic warmly invite you to the opening of LuYang’s exhibition, LuYang Vibratory Field, on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 7 to 10 p.m.
LuYang takes the human as the center point of an investigation that deploys the cultures of anime, Buddhism, digital technology, gaming, Indonesian dance rituals, neuroscience, and sci-fi to mine the mess (and magic) of the human condition.
For LuYang Vibratory Field at Kunsthalle Basel, artist’s first solo exhibition in Switzerland and one of the most comprehensive presentations of LuYang’s production from the last decade, nearly every room will evoke a different cosmos spawned from the videos featured within them.
